The story starts in Columbus, Ohio where a local female entrepreneur, Lisa McCormack, ran her successful olive oil shop for years. The shop offered the best artisanal olive oils, vinegar, and other specialty goods to a loyal community following.
A Sip of Curiosity
Introducing people to the world of vinegar wasn’t easy—many customers were hesitant to try it straight, no matter how high-quality or nuanced the flavors were. Lisa knew she needed a better way to break down that barrier. As a creative solution, she began mixing her vinegars with sparkling water and complementary fruits to create light, refreshing samples. This approach softened the sharpness of the vinegar while letting its unique flavor profiles shine through. What started as a clever sampling tactic soon became something more—an unexpectedly delicious beverage people kept coming back for.
